Loss comes in many forms; the loss of a job, loss of your home, loss of a relationship due to estrangement caused by conflict (just to name a few) can throw your life into literal and emotional chaos and confusion.
Sometimes these losses are unique to us and sometimes they’re collective. In the year 2020 everyone in the world was experiencing collective losses — loss of life as we knew it, loss of in-person interactions, loss of normal routine, financial and job uncertainty, loss of a sense of safety and much more.
With these losses, you often need to grieve and to feel the discomfort while continuing to function in everyday life. You may need to find healing “on the go.” When faced with losses that you are keeping to yourself, you also may struggle in unrelated areas of your life. To heal and grow, you will work through ways to address the losses, take action, find peace, and restore your footing. You will learn to recreate your life and add these losses to the story of yourself, and how you are being shaped by them.
